My specialty is providing dementia care consultation, providing useful communication strategies for improved interactions with your loved ones, daily living strategies for caregivers to assist them with meeting their own needs, adaptation of the environment, and tasks to minimize conflict and behaviors that can occur between a caregiver and their loved one with dementia, and Occupational Therapy treatments in the comfort and safety of your own home.
Whether you or your loved one needs assistance after a functional decline, the progression of Alzheimer's disease, other illness, recovery from surgery, or rehabilitation, I will work with you to provide individualized occupational therapy services that you can trust and a treatment plan to help keep your loved one home, for as long as possible.
Daily life can be challenging while watching our loved ones decline and trying to manage and understand their behaviors. The challenges of hygiene, feeding, safety, and the need for supervision, can take a toll on families caring for a loved one with dementia. With Covid-19 affecting our community, our daily habits and routines have been upended. I can consult with you online or if you are local to my area, I can consult with you in your own home!
